Réserve Cousteau

The Réserve Cousteau protects around 1,000 hectares of coral reef and marine life off Bouillante and Pointe-Noire, on Basse-Terre's leeward coast — the same coastline as Deshaies, further south. It is named after Jacques Cousteau, who considered it one of his favourite diving sites in the world.

Coral gardens, sea turtles and tropical fish make this a well-known spot for snorkelling and diving. Tropical Vibes trips explore this same leeward coast, departing from Deshaies.
